The Outlaw Chronicles

The Outlaw Chronicles reimagine Robin Hood as Robert Odo, Earl of Locksley, a charismatic and violent criminal lord remembered by his lieutenant Alan Dale. The original novels carry Alan from his entry into the Sherwood band through the Third Crusade, Richard I’s wars, the loss of Normandy, Magna Carta and the First Barons’ War.

Later novels and short stories fill gaps in that chronology, including Robin’s youth, the return from crusade, the politics of Burgundy and the Albigensian Crusade. Full-length novels retain their publication-series numbers; the three short stories use fractional numbers, while chronological_order records the narrative sequence from 1180 to 1216.
