The Gettysburg Trilogy

The Gettysburg Trilogy is an alternate-history Civil War sequence that begins by changing the outcome of the Battle of Gettysburg. A Confederate victory gives Robert E. Lee the initiative, opening a campaign against Washington while Abraham Lincoln turns to Ulysses S. Grant to rebuild the Union war effort.

Across the three novels, real commanders and political leaders are placed inside a plausible but invented continuation of the war. The series uses logistics, command decisions, public morale and battlefield manoeuvre to explore how a different Gettysburg might have altered the struggle without abandoning the institutions, personalities and military constraints of 1863.
