The Civil War Chronicles

The Civil War Chronicles follow Captain Innocent Stryker, a veteran of continental warfare who returns to England as conflict between Charles I and Parliament becomes open war. Stryker serves the Royalists through loyalty to his companions rather than unquestioning faith in the cause. His company is repeatedly used for intelligence work, infiltration and difficult battlefield assignments that expose treachery on both sides.

The six supplied novels carry Stryker from the war’s opening spy networks through Dartmoor, Stratton, Gloucester, the Scilly Isles and Basing House to the northern campaign of 1644 and Marston Moor. Real sieges and battles shape the sequence, while Eli Makepeace, Gabriel Wild and other fictional enemies make the political division personal. Two associated novellas are absent from this export and have not been created.
