Jacquetta of Luxembourg

Jacquetta of Luxembourg was a noblewoman connected to the Lancastrian court and mother of Elizabeth Woodville. Through her daughter’s marriage to Edward IV, she became linked to the Yorkist monarchy and the dynastic politics of the Wars of the Roses.

In Philippa Gregory’s The Lady of the Rivers, Jacquetta of Luxembourg becomes Duchess of Bedford through marriage to the English regent in France.
