After France’s defeat, Alex Kovacs and his wife Manon travel to Lyon and form a small Resistance network. Their work includes intelligence gathering, sabotage and the practical task of identifying collaborators, all conducted under the threat of Gestapo surveillance and collective punishment.
Each success is temporary and increases the danger to their family and associates. As arrests close around the cell, Alex confronts the unequal cost of resistance and the possibility that courage may achieve little against occupation while still requiring the sacrifice of everyone he is trying to protect.
