Molly and Daniel spend their honeymoon at the Newport estate of alderman Brian Hannan, an ambitious politician seeking higher office. The invitation seems generous until Hannan is found dead below the cliffs and the household begins protecting its own version of events.
Although Molly has promised to abandon detective work, she cannot ignore the contradictions surrounding the death. She investigates Hannan’s political alliances, family conflicts and connections with Tammany Hall while Daniel tries to keep their honeymoon from becoming another official case.
