Book
Agent in Peril
A Polish scientist hiding with his family in the Warsaw Ghetto possesses a technical idea that British intelligence believes could improve the accuracy of bombing. Jack Miller and Sophia von Naundorf are pulled into a plan that requires the scientist to be extracted from occupied Poland and the device to be tested inside the Reich.
The scientist, device and Wolf Pack agents are fictional, but their story is placed inside the historical Warsaw Ghetto and the developing RAF bombing offensive against Germany. Gerlis uses the physical and moral danger of the Holocaust setting rather than treating occupied Poland simply as an adventure backdrop.
